Raindorests In Peru: One of the few left On Earth

It's been predicted that about 60% of area is covered by rainforests in Peru, mostly, occupying the areas that is placed towards the eastern side on the Andes, in the Amazon basin. Rainforests in Peru is known for the huge conglomeration of the whole lot of various endangered plant and animal types. Besides, these rainforests are also home to many native tribes, covering up greater degree of the lower Amazon basin such as Shipibo, Ashaninka, Nahua along with the Matsiguenga tribes.

Together with time and with improvement, the vulnerable rainforests in Peru are under continuous threat with the migration from farm owners, who attempt their best to migrate from the Andean to better and lush forest lowlands of the eastern sides. Furthermore, these farmers are generally active in the forest burning to cultivate farms and these results in losing the valuable rainforests in the country. Then, there's also the commercial loggers who are continually posing dangers to these forests and its natural habitants.

Lots of efforts have been undertaken by the people of Peru to save rainforest for the Peruvian rainforests is regarded to be the fourth greatest rainforests in the world after Brazil, Congo and Indonesia. In reality, Peru also had the smallest amount of deforestation as compared to other rain forests at one point of time. But off late, the amount of exploration, expansion of roads, logging and farming has increased and this has lead to a reduction of beneficial quantity of rainforests.

To save rainforest, a lot of attempts are being taken by the nation like conserving 54 million hectares of natrual enviroment in the coming years that might be gradually raised to a greater figure. In order to save rainforest, the nation intends to separate the 54 million hectares into different categories like ecotourism, national parks, indigenous reserves and ecological forestry advancement.
